Christmas Nail Art

I meant to post this blog at the same time as I posted these photos on instagram but life got too busy and I'm only just getting to it now - sorry! So on the weekend we celebrated Christmas with my little cousins as their family is going away for Christmas so my sister and I decided to paint our nails.

These one's are pretty easy, except when it comes to painting your other hand... Let's just say they looked a bit more like crazy reindeers. First step is to paint your nail white, my white nail polish is very see through so I painted about 3 coats in the end -.- Then you can use gold or brown or whatever colour you want really to paint the reindeer heads. I just painted the ends of my nail and then added some gold dots as ears with my dotting tool. Then I painted the noses by just dabbing colour, I used black for most of them and red for 'Rudolph'. Using a dotting tool I painted white dots for the eyes (make sure you let dry), then paint the black dots ontop and then a tiny white one with a toothpick. For the antlers I used a nail art pen which is photographed below.

So if the reindeers seemed abit too complicated for you, how about just reindeers on one nail and snow on the rest!? For the snow, I just painted the nails red and then used a dotting tool with the white nail polish to dot away. I did less dots at the base of the nail and then more as I got to the end. At the end, you can start overlapping them to make it look like the snow has landed :)
